Original glass like this doesn't come to the market that often.  This one has some damage to it, and we have tried to show that in the images.  There appears to be a single bullet strike in the centre of the piece, and some broken edge pieces.  There are traces of original paint on it too, cockpit green and fuselage silver, as well as traces of brown.  If placed back into an armoured glass frame, it would look stunning and this would also hide a lot of the damage.  We have replica frames available, click on the link in the menu. This allegedly comes from the crash site of a Mk1 Spitfire shot down in Sussex in 1940, although we have no provenance to prove this.
